Schipul Upgrades ThirdBiotech Web Site with Tendenci® Software

ThirdBiotech's new community Web sitePHOENIX, ARIZ., April 23, 2009 – The Web is playing a vital role in helping to connect the people and organizations leading Arizona’s booming biomedical research and bioscience commercial center. ThirdBiotech, which promotes Arizona’s development of science and technology for the formation of life sciences companies, has launched a new community Web site, www.thirdbiotech.com, powered by Tendenci online management software.

Recognizing that collaboration and support are keys to advancing Arizona’s biotech industry, ThirdBiotech has assembled experts, curriculum and resources to assist bioentrepreneurs. The Web site serves as the epicenter of the organization’s activities, delivering news and information, promoting and reporting on events, enabling online membership management, event registration and donations, and a Scientist’s Center where early stage biotechnology companies can seek financial support and guidance.

“We are working to fill the gap that exists between the bioentrepreneurs and the established pharmaceutical industry by creating a means through which people can help each other,” said Jeff Morhet, Founder of ThirdBiotech and CEO of InNexus Biotechnology.  “As a small nonprofit, we particularly like Tendenci’s automation and simple user interface that enables people to enter data online so our small staff doesn’t have to.”

Life sciences is a major industry in Arizona with an estimated 85,000 workers. However, these workers are dispersed across the Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff metropolitan areas, making it challenging to cultivate a sense of community. ThirdBiotech’s Web site is designed to connect and serve the science community across the entire state.

Tendenci’s easy-to-use content management system makes it simple to keep the site updated and with Really Simple Syndication (RSS), the science community can subscribe to receive updates as they happen.

Tendenci is developed and marketed by Schipul – The Web Marketing Company.
