Adding content to your site using cms
If you decide to add more pages to the site once you have gone live, you can use the CMS module to quickly add and edit the content.
*You must be logged in as a Global Admin to access the CMS options.*
- From the Tendenci console, choose Add Content under the Admin Quick Links.
- Choose between Public or Private for the page.
- Click Continue
- Add the page Title.
- This should be descriptive enough that you can locate it later and smart enough to help your search engine ranking.
- Enter your Content.
- Use the WYSIWYG editor to format the text. For more information on content editing and graphics, see these help topics.

- Enter a Display URL or a Nice URL
The following steps are optional.
- Choose a Category.
- Keep your data organized! Use an existing navigation option or choose add new category if you want to add a new main navigation option.
- Choose a Subcategory.
- Use an existing sub-navigation option or add new category for a new nav item.
- Select the Entity. This determines which of your sites can access this page.
- Set your View and Edit permissions and other options.
- Leave Status set to Active.
- The page will not automatically show up in the site navigation but will be live. Someone *might* come across it if they were fishing around to see what is out there but most likely, no one will see it until you link to it. If you definitely do *not* want eyes on it for whatever reason, change the Status to Inactive until you are ready to go live.
- Click Add Page Content.
You can now link to this page from another CMS page on your site. See How to add a link in a CMS page to starting getting the page out to your visitors.
