Uncheck the "syndicate" bit on the edit page for that calendar event will remove it from:
1) RSS feeds
2) Consolidated calendars
3) Newsletter automation

And perhaps other places as well by the time you read this.  Think of syndicate on calendar events as a promotional tool like priority.
