Customizing information that appears in the Membership Directory

This can only be done if you have a Custom Membership Application  set up on your site.  If not please contact Schipul to make changes to the Membership form and directory listings.

 


 

If you do have a Custom Membership Application:

  1. Go to the Tendenci console and click on Design your Membership Application! under the Admin Only Block.
  2. From here select  Search for Membership Applications.
  3. Then select the Edit Membership Application  that appears next to the Application you wish to edit.
    * The application that will be used on your site is either the active Application, or if there is more than one active than the one created most recently.*
  4. If you want to rename one of the sections that appears in the Membership Directory, such as changing one of the undefined fields (UD1 - this appears on the 1st Step) to the title of the information stored here.  Simply scroll to that field and select the Edit Membership Application next to the category.
    *A simplier example would be changing Mobile Phone to read Cell Number. - both edits are done the same way.*
  5. You will need to type what you would like the section to be labeled as here:
    The field currently looks like:
     
      UD1
  6. Make sure that the below box is checked so it will appear in the Directory listings
    Display:
  7. Then select Submit.

If the box next to this field is checked and information for the section is provided for members than it will appear with its new name in the Membership Directory.  If you did not have this field as an option during the initial Membership Import or for those registering on your site then they will not have information for this section.  Click here for how to Update several Members at once.
