Removing all spam users from my site

If you've received an influx of bogus email addresses from spam submissions on your site, and you want to clear them out, follow these steps:

1)  Export all site users. From the Tendenci console, click on Manage Users under Admin Quick Links.

2) Find F) User Export Utilities, and click on User Export (csv).

3) Enter the authentication string to export data. You may obtain the authentication string from Schipul or your site administrator.

4) Click Submit, then click Download File. From the file download screen, save the file.

5) In your newly-saved user export file, copy all of the email addresses belonging to the bogus spam users.

6) Back in the Tendenci console, click on User Groups.

7) Click on Add at the top. Name your new user group after the email domain of the bogus emails you want to delete. View this help file for detailed instructions on creating a new user group.

8) Now that you've created your user group, you will place the spam email addresses in the user group for deletion. View this help file, and specifically Option 2, about how to add a list of email addresses to a user group.

9) Now, you'll delete the user group and all the users in it. In the Tendenci console, click User Groups. Find the group you want to delete and click the trash can in the corresponding row of icons.

Check  the Delete all Users checkbox.

Press the Delete User Group button.

Enter the authentication string for security and press Submit.

Confirm that you want to proceed with the deletion of the group and all the users in that group - press the Continue button.

The users and all the users in the group have been deleted.
