Well, first, they are very enthusiastic about the technology - not in a whiz bang let's see how many effects we can cram into a site but in a hey, look at what is new. They are in the business so while they can be excited about the cool stuff, they can also guide you, the client, toward what may or may not be appropriate to your particular site.<br><br>Second, they want to know about your business and your budget so they can design to stay within that budget. I've worked with them on two sites and we've received great work, on time and within budget.<br><br>Next, each of the people I've worked with at Schipul has been tremendously responsive. I call - they answer. I send email - they call or message me right back. I leave a message after hours and when I check the site the next day, the change has already been made. The American Organ Transplant Association (AOTA) helps transplant recipients through the period immediately prior to and after transplant surgery . Schipul has hosted the Gulf Coast Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers web site for several years now. This past year they provided us with a timely and valuable upgrade of our site, which allows the leadership more flexibility in assessing the needs of its 11,000 members. Access to the site is a breeze, registration procedures for meetings are simple and are used by over 95 percent of the attendees, and problems that develop are tackled on a timely basis. In short, Schipul has exceeded our expectations, continues to meet our needs, has the foresight to provide a service before we even realize that it is needed, and has become a true partner of this professional society. Another of the great new features of the website is that visitors who log in can participate in creating content on the website . They can add an event to the calendar , or write an article to be published on-line . Members can submit their resumes and control who can see it, as well as whether or not their resume identifies them by name. Anyone can submit a job opening and there are many other categories of content that visitors can add to the database. It's not automatically posted, of course, but the appropriate editors are notified and they can change and/or approve the content before making it visible to other website visitors. I have had the good fortune of using Tendenci since 2002 when PRSA Houston launched a Tendenci-powered Web site. At the time, the organization was facing a budget deficit and we were concerned about investing in a new Web site. We shouldn't have been. Within months, the revenue generated by job listings and directory listings had more than offset the associated Web marketing costs. Our members were happier, the site was easy to keep updated and best of all it more than paid for itself.
