Sarah has over 13 years in marketing, business development, and community management, and she has a passion for teaching people how to use technology to do great things in business and nonprofit industries. Sarah currently manages the marketing program for Tendenci, an open source CMS platform, and her responsibilities in this capacity utilize her strengths and combine marketing, customer service, and technology to identify and create great user experiences for clients.
Sarah's day-to-day activities include creating and implementing content marketing strategies, developing engaging social media campaigns, event marketing, and more. Sarah's experience with nonprofit marketing and program development is bolstered by a combination of her professional career at Schipul Technologies and her volunteer roles within nonprofit organizations that include the Startup Digest, Startup Weekend, Netsquared, and SpaceUP Houston. Her work with these nonprofits has included organizing and promoting events, managing website content and email marketing, develop fundraising and sponsorship programs, and run training events.
Sarah's day-to-day activities give her a unique perspective and provide both sides of Nonprofit Technology challenges: developing tools that can handle everything a nonprofit needs and using the tools to manage a nonprofit's website and online fundraising programs.
