Nehemiah Center Launches Responsive Website on Tendenci

New Website to Highlight Programs and Increase Social Impact

Nehemiah Center of HoustonHOUSTON, July 28, 2015 –Tendenci (www.tendenci.com), the software development company spearheading the Tendenci Open Source platform for associations and other nonprofits (NPOs), is proud to release a dynamic new website for the Nehemiah Center. The website, http://www.nehemiahcenterhouston.org, is powered by Tendenci Open Source, which enables the organization to highlight their many social programs for at-risk children and their families needing support to reach their potential.

Tendenci Open Source was released as an open source solution for associations and non-profits to give cause-related organizations greater freedom and control over their online presence.

From the Nehemiah Center website: Our mission is to create a safe haven in which children are motivated, inspired and equipped to realize their God-given potential. The success of our programs are reflected not only in our growth but also in the lives we have enriched. When children are at-risk, their needs are multiple. We serve not just the child's immediate needs, but the needs of the whole family.

Nehemiah Center is able to spread the word about their services to the community by constantly updating content using Tendenci’s CMS. It is easy to add photos and video, create new pages, update and organize website content, and post news and articles.

To reach those that share the mission of Nehemiah Center, the website highlights encouraging video testimonials from volunteers and makes it easy for new volunteers to get the information they need to give of their time. With the online Donations module, the Nehemiah Center can engage passionate individuals and immediately secure funds using either a one-time or recurring donations option.

With the open source nature of Tendenci and the one-button data export feature, Nehemiah Center has the ability to create custom reports and additional backups of their site at any time, providing a level of transparency important for both data analysis and security.

Tendenci has more than 1 million users and currently powers hundreds of websites for organizations around the world, including the San Francisco Bay Area Innovation Group (www.sfbig.org), the New York Emmy Awards (www.nyemmys.org) and the Houston Technology Center (www.houstontech.org).
