Step 2: Save your new event
(An event cannot be marked private until it first exists in the website)
Step 3: Select Event
Look for the event that will be set to private via the calendar module or list module.
If you choose to access the event through the list module, you can find the edit button here, underneath the event select Options->Edit:
When accessing the event from the calendar module, look for the event in the calendar. After selecting the event, look for the admin menu on the top of the page then select Event->Edit Event.
Step 4: Set Event to Private
In the event editing page, scroll all the way down to the Permissions section. The Public can view does not interfere with the private URL as long as you have access to the URL you will be able to see the event, but it will not be available in the calendar or the event listings. Then select, "Show Advanced Permissions".
Scroll down until you see "Enable Private URL" at the very bottom of the permission section.
The listed URL can be distributed to those that you would like to have access to the registration page.
