All Tendenci sites include the ability to put an emergency announcement at the top of every page on your site (assuming you haven't customized your templates to exclude it.)
This is what an emergency announcement looks like. In this case we used it to honor those who served on this Veteran's Day. The end result looks like the image below with the exception being that I added the yellow rectangle to make it more obvious what is in the emergency announcement versus the rest of the page. Keep reading after the jump to see how to add them on your Tendenci site.
To add an Emergency Announcement at the top of every page of your Tendenci site navigate to the admin backend as this is a superuser-only function. Click on Apps and then "Admin Backend" as shown below.
Once you are in the admin backend navigate to the "Announcements" and click "add" as seen in the image below:
Next up, be brief and keep it small as it pushes all of the content on your site down. Here is the example from the first image using the Veteran's Day Announcement as an example.
And again the net result is a globally visible notification at the top of the page as follows.
We wish you the best in communicating in both emergencies and celebrations and also for those times when a message has to be communicated quickly and is of great importance.
Thank you.
