Things you should do after adding a video to your CMS page.
As you have probably heard... the search engines can ONLY read HTML text. Yes, that means if your homepage is all flash based or only has images on there, the search engines will see this as a blank page and your web site will not be index and ranked.
But we won't allow you to do that to your site anyways, because we want you to rank well in the search engines so that your target audience can find you when they're ready to buy.
Videos have been and will continue to be a popular element online, especially to web sites.
Since the search engines have not yet figured out a way to read videos, your best way to get your videos found is through text.
After you add a video to your site you should title it with an appropriate title followed by the word "video" this is because many people looking for videos online will use the word "video" after their search phrase.
For example: If I was someone in Houston interested in hair restoration and wanted to see a video on it my keyword search phrase will be "Houston hair restoration videos".
After that, you want to write a paragraph summarizing your video or if it is an interview have the transcript posted below. This is so that your visitor may read about the video before watching it and it is a way for the search engines to know what is on that page.
Now that you have done this, you will want to add your video to video search engines.

By adding your videos and linking them back to your web site and tagging them with relevant keywords, it can help bring traffic to your site.
